To market, to market...

Well, after 2953 miles, I am back in Toronto. For those of you who are not aware, I just embarked on a road trip of epic proportions from Los Angeles, California to Toronto, Ontario with my boyfriend. It was long, but very interesting. I would go on about it, but I am tired, and I like pictures better than words, anyway. Tomorrow I will post some.

The best part of the trip is neither Alex or I got sick of each other. I'd like to think this is a pretty big deal. I obviously had some worries about moving in with someone I had been long distance to up until now, but I figure if I was able to be in a cab of a small truck with him for 6 straight days, then I think we will be OK. I love him very much, and he loves me, and I don't think there's too much more to life than that.

Anyway, I need to sleep now. Merry Christmas!

-Camille

This post made public on purpose

No one can change my mind. Being popular and hanging out with the social elite are not my main objectives. Those who hate others because of their preferences, appearance, or choice of friends can FUCK THEMSELVES. And those who have the nerve to assume that those people they dislike have no rights as a human being can DIE for all I care. The world would function better if people like that didn’t exist. There needs to be a way for people with more intelligence and thoughtfulness to change the minds of stubborn, stupid, and prejudice individuals. That is why I want to be a teacher. I want to change the minds of children before their parents imprint too deeply on their minds. I want to teach kids to think about others, to analyze situations before acting, and to be able to suppress their own ego to put others before themselves. The world is full of stupid people, and there are no stopping stupid people from raising equally as stupid people. I almost want to cry when I realize how the world is inevitably going to lower its standards bit by bit on issues such as tolerance, intelligence, and empathy. Why can’t more people realize that these three things are more important than personal gain?
